Prov. 31:10
The average stay at home mom works 91 hours a week and is worth $143,000.00 a year! *
I remember when I became a mother, and was thinking about all the things that my life was involved in. Not only was I busy with my family but I was continually learning something new! Parenting doesn’t come with an easy to read manual, and no two parents raise their children the same! When my two youngest girls were junior and senior high, I had just started my own business. I wasn’t happy with the public school system where we lived and had our girls in Christian school, but then it became to difficult to keep them there because of finances. A friend of mind suggested ‘home schooling’ –I told her, “don’t even think about it, I can’t do it!” Well, guess what, not only did I do it but I also learned some French, some Spanish, and brushed up on my Algebra amongst other subjects! It did me a world of good to become my girls’ teacher, along with being their mom, Sunday school teacher, Youth group director, and anything else they needed me to be!
Have you ever felt like you have failed God? Have you ever felt like you wasn’t worthy of His grace, mercy, love, compassion, forgiveness etc.? Do you ever wonder if God is going to use you as a vessel of honor for Him? Do you ever feel as so others are more worthy than you to be used of God, loved by God, or instructed by God? I have had all those same feelings, and struggles and it amazes me where God has brought me from, and is yet taking me!
The Value of a Woman...Let’s talk about your Value in God?
Proverbs 31:10-31 –she is a woman of strong character –she conforms to what is right morally –she is worthy of praise –she is efficient and able to accomplish what is given her to do –she is not vain or dishonest –she is very much alive and active!
Prov 12:4 –she is a mark of honor to her husband
Prov 18:22 –she is a good thing –her husband receives recognition –is secure –is established –receives special privilege from God
Prov 19:14 –she has foresight –is able to manage practical affairs –is sensible
You, dear lady, are a woman of great value and you have not failed God! First of all you are here reading this right now, so your mind is focused on the things of God and God will use you! Just as you see different qualities in your children God looks down and sees different qualities in His children! He has a plan for your life!
Even if right now you are a mother of twins, and it seems changing diapers, feeding babies, doing laundry and so forth are never done, you are a woman of great worth! Stand before the mirror and remember that if someone were to offer you the value of a ‘stay at home mom,’ at today’s going wage your worth would be $143,000.00! How many women do you know that bring home that kind of money!
The thing about a woman who loves her children and husband is that you can’t place a value on her –for she is far above rubies!
