But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. Mathew 24:13.
Our theme for Ladies Ministries MOTHERS MEMORIAL this year is Never give up . . . Keep Believing! That should be our battle cry as a Christian. We are called to faithful, to never give up, to keep believing.
There seems to be three kinds of Christians. First, there is the Christian that can only serve God when everything is going great in their life. No major battles to fight and all is going well. The Lord is blessing them and they are loving it. But the first dark trial with fiery darts from the enemy and they are ready to pack it in. They can’t serve God . . .it’s just too hard!
The second kind of Christian is the one who can only serve God when there is a crisis in their life. A grim medical report, a dire financial situation or a desperate family conflict and they will run to the church and seek God with urgency. They will cling to God until the storm in their life passes. Then when the crisis is over they will slowly drift from God and away from the church.
Finally, there is the third kind of Christian. This is one who has made up their mind ‘Come what may, I’ve got to be saved!’ They have decided in the good times to praise the Lord in the bad time to praise the Lord. You will find these precious saints of God faithful in all manner of circumstances. They have decided ‘I will never give up! I will keep believing!’ They are the ones you can depend on. They are the foundation of the church.
This is the kind of Christian God calls us to be . . . steadfast and faithful to the end.
